A technique bearing properties similar to those of the Hyūga clan's Eight Trigrams Rotating Heaven, Yūmei both activates and deactivates this technique mentally. When active, a dome-shaped barrier of the characteristic red lightning of Power Release is created around the user.
This barrier cannot be pierced, and is virtually indestructible against all physical attacks. It drains Yūmei's chakra while it's active, the drain accelerating when the barrier is physically struck, although only by a small fraction dependant on the force: the more powerful the impact, the stronger the drain. However if the barrier's defensive capabilities are enhanced, this drain is easily minimized, particularly when he is under the effects of Dragon Sage Mode.
The barrier is maintained mentally, and hence allows Yūmei to operate beneath its veil even while it's active and taking damage.
