The Bingo Books (手配書, Bingo-Bukku) are black books used by ninja that contain any and all information on black-listed ninja they are to target. There are multiple versions of the Bingo Books, the most common being those based from the Hidden Villages.

Purpose

Normally, a Bingo Book is owned by jōnin and Anbu members of the major shinobi villages. Each entry on the Bingo Book is added by a high ranking official, usually the Kage, who lists a black-listed ninja. Usually, each Hidden Village's Bingo Book covers criminals and its country's most dangerous enemy ninja. There are also entries on missing-nin or potential security threats they are all marked for elimination by the hunter-nin. A unit of Anbu from Kirigakure, the hunter-nins' sole purpose is carry out the complete eradication of missing-nin so that no physical trace of their quarry remains.

The Akatsuki, on the other hand, use their Bingo Book for the more sinister purpose of listing their jinchūriki targets and certain ninja from the villages who have potential use to them. In Kakuzu's case, he lists his Bingo Book with information on various ninja with large bounties on their heads so that he can claim the bounty on them.

Ranks, Warnings and Bounty

There are several ranks and warnings that can be found on each entries, they range from Bring back alive to Flee if seen, and D-rank to SS-rank. These ranks and warnings are usually given by the villages or people that have asked to add them into the book, missing-nins are usually automatically added into the book by the villages due to their ability to sell out any information about the villages.

D-ranks, the lowest rank that can be found in the Bingo Book, are usually new Genins that left the village or Genins that do not seem to be any kind of threat in the Village's eyes. C-ranks are given to the older Genins or new Chunnins, mostly those that acquired their Chunnin rank from being promoted in the middle of war. B-rank is for powerful Chunnins and war-promoted or weak Jounins. A-ranks are for Jounins. S-rank are usually for Sannins, Kages, or members of any organisation that is considered S-rank, like Akatsuki. SS-rank is a rare rank given to those who are too powerful that a Kage fighting him/her is not enough, they would need an army to stop them.

Bounties are given by the villages as a reward for either killing the person or capturing them alive, the more bounty given, the more Hunter-nins they will get after them, thus an effective way of harassing the enemy. Bounties given by different villages to the same person are accumulated. Some entries do not have bounties though, and are just there to serve as a warning.

Note

If you want to be added in the bounty book, please contact Tsukune Uzuhashi in game or Trismite in the wiki. Please do not add yourself in this since I plan to make it as organised as possible. Do note that the ranks and warnings are not determined by you, but by several other people that will be asked, though people part of a dangerous organisation like Akatsuki, Seven-Swordsman of the Mist, or Genesis would be automatically considered S-class, along with any Kages of the village. Bounties are something that may be added if allowed due to the fact that one, some people might harass the player with the bounty, two, not a lot of people want to be killed, three, bounties are to be given by other people, not the user of the character. Most entries will not have a bounty though.
